Bagged a couple deer today at Carlton Hill

Got out there about 0430 (cold sittin' on the ground) and stayed put. Figured I'd let the other hunters drive the deer to me and it payed off. Shot these two at 14 and 23 yards and will be back out there with my daughter tomorrow (got 4 tags left!). Was using my 1938 Turkish Mauser (8mm) with mojo peep sight. Makes a HECK of an exit wound at 14 yards (the deer was DRT!)

She has a Savage Axis in 7mm-08. Shoots well, just wish it had the Accu-Trigger.
