This is what happens when coyotes beat you to your deer. Happened to my hunting partner is less than 4 hours.
I must say I love beavers.

THAT SUCKS!!!!! Man ... I went out behind the house today at 4:30pm. (5R) Brought only my portable seat and my bow. Sat next to a big pine tree near the edge of the hill and within 5 minutes I had 4 doe 20-25' from me. Too small for me to bother taking, but the oldest one saw me as I sat there completely still and silent. I was upwind of them as well and the 3 stayed on the trail, but that one ... she came closer and closer and closer until she got about 10' away and then I moved to see what she would do. She didn't charge, she took off and the other 3 were like "Where ya going??" as they just watched her leap through the woods. About 20 minutes later, another doe comes to the top of the hill and I have no idea where the hell they're coming from!!! I don't see them until the are at this 20-25' area and walk in front of me. This one gives me the perfect broadside shot between two trees, but I let her go as well. She was alittle bigger, but I was really hoping a buck would come through next. I only stayed another 15 minutes then had to go to the shop to get some stuff done so it can be opened this Saturday. Oh well, I'll try tomorrow at some point. I know where to put this extra ladder stand I have now though .... although I wish it were a blind because I don't really like heights much. LOL
