Now let's see if I can find that big guy that strolled by me while I was out for turkey. (Hopefully by this time tomorrow, I'll have a picture to post.) My daughter and I went out with the dog this morning. I wanted to see what kind of fresh tracks were around before the snow melts today, so we headed out in the opposite direction from where we'll hunt tomorrow. Lots of tracks!! Some a couple days old, but plenty fresh. At least one doe and yearling wandered through this morning where the kids and I had been sledding, and yesterday morning there were three in the back yard.
Doe runs from the 6th to the 14th, so I'll miss out on that this year, since I'll be in UT for weddings. Can't wait to see my family, though. It's been 3 years. Maybe if there's any more hunting going on in UT, I can convince my uncle, the archer, to let me tag along one day.
