that is a fine looking Deer. !
Perhaps USMC can clean up this thread to it's intended purpose
I will be heading out today with my trusty Marlin .30.30
It sukks that my .270 was stolen

      Norm DeGuerre,
Not a problem. My old hide is pretty thick and as long as the posts are related to hunting and shooting I'm good with it. If you want to hurt my feelings I'd suggest you bring a big stick... I hunted with a .30-30 ( my first big game rifle ) during my "formative years" and took many deer with my Marlin 336. Good luck today and if you score post a picture.

        Crap. !!
snow is still way too deep here to have them deer running around
        Supposed to rain tomorrow..
        Perhaps better luck
Trusty Marlin works as both a Cane and A Weapon .☺️

anyone interested in venison jerky teriyaki? I have a decent recipe. Teriyaki sauce /marinade is a home brew. PM if interested.

I,d be interested in that. ☺️
Jerky is a good use for venison

I'm not all that happy with deer steaks
            Perhaps I am just fussy

Anyways gotta get a Deer first !
Damm Coyotes eating them all here in Steuben County
Perhaps I have to head to Monroe County where I still see road kill

Out all today .Didn't see one freaking deer
Was a nice day to be in the woods anyways

You would think with a hundred and sixty acres of corn there would be one Damm deer .🤢

tried that marinade on some brisket as I have no venison yet
Came out great! I dried it at 350*. Then 200* overnite

Hmmmm, brisket. Sounds like a good substitute for venison. I may have to try that. My son and friend went out today. I was hoping they'd get something, but saw none.
