Great choice in boats and the weather should be good. They are the longest running charter business in the sound. You will be jigging for the most part. Diamond jigs are the go to lure this time of year but any shiny metal lure 3-5" length will work. You will be dropping the jigs to the bottom and reeling them up so conventional or bait casting reels in the 20-30 lbs. class are the way to go. Leave the spinning gear home. For rods bring a minimum 6-1/2' long boat rod. If you don't fish often you can rent gear and buy tackle from the boat. The gear you rent may be a bit beat up but it will work. Above all listen to the mates, they will tell you what you need to do. I'll be out there all day Sunday but I'll be anchored up in the rocks targeting sea bass. Good luck and have fun.

Sure was a beautiful day not many fish around. I spent all day and burned about $100 of diesel and got skunked. When I got back to the slip there were snappers jumping all around the dock. Filled a bucket of them and they are about to go on the grill now. Any day on the water is a good day.
