Really enjoying it this summer. Much better than I'd ever did.
Catching a lot of sunny's, some small mouth a few large mouth and perch the past several weeks. He's getting pretty comfortable baiting the hooks and removing them when he pulls something out of the lake. Catch and release is all we do so far.
He caught a small sunny the other day in its eye socket. That wasn't pleasant and was too much for the boy to handle. So I tried my best but to no avail. Resorted to cutting the barb off the hook and pulling it out the way it went in. Released the poor bastard and he was a little bewildered. Just when he looked like he got his bearings straight a large mouth came out of no where and slammed him. Talk about a bad day, lol.
My son and I had a good laugh at it though. If any liberals are reading this thread that's the way we roll. FUAC.
