We do summers in Clatskanie, Oregon at the Father In Laws farm. It's right on the Columbia south of Longview, I'm always awed by the views out there.

2 foot wide strip of dirt between the car and a 1500 foot drop. Haven't these people heard of guard rails???

They had the same thing in Tahoe. One of the locals told me that they don't use guard rails because they cause erosion.

Yeah, at glacier they said the avalanches took them out every year, so they just gave up.
