  • Reporter and Cameraman Shot on Live TV

This is really messed up. Could there be a motive or is it just a psycho with a gun?

Very sad story indeed. I don't understand how so many people can value life so little.

One more reasons to always carry everywhere that you can and be vigilant constantly.

The fact that the guy did it while cameras were rolling means he expected to get caught. The suicide follows that mindset.

        Horrible tragedy.

It's things like this I'm glad I no longer work in news! I have friends that could tell some stories.

Thoughts and prayers to the families!

If your that unhappy, no amount of counseling or medications will make a difference, just end it peacefully in private and leave others be. May sound callous but enough violence against others, primarily innocent people.
I must say I love beavers.

You know if this was a white guy murdering two black reporters how do you envision the coverage would be? ...
This is so sad. People died for nothing.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

                Well this didn't take long.

                http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/...e-gun-control/

The precise details of that incident continue to be under investigation. But as you’ve heard me say in the past: This is another example of gun violence that has becoming all-too-common in communities large and small. And while there is no piece of legislation that can end all violence in this country, there are some common sense things that only Congress can do that we know will have a tangible impact on reducing gun violence in this country. And Congress could take those steps in a way that will not infringe on the Constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans. And the president has long advocated Congress taking those steps, and the president continues to feel they should do so.

there are too many guns in the hands of people who should not have guns. This is why I’ve long advocated for background checks” in an interview on the shooting of a reporter and a cameraman on Washington DC’s WTOP radio, portions of which were broadcast on Wednesday’s “CNN Newsroom.
Bets on whether or not the shooter passed a background check to get his pistol?

My fb feed has been lit up all day with friends who still work or used to work in TV news. Everyone's pretty shook up!

I also saw a story the shooter used to work at a station in my hometown (very briefly).

                      What an effed up day!

Gay black guy kills two white people and shoots another. Where's the outrage? Maybe we should take down the rainbow flag on govt grounds. Oh yeah, just the White House certainly not my govt.

Meanwhile in other news North Korea takes unprecedented step to apologize (ie "regret") to South Korea for planting mine along DMZ while 50 subs go off the grid. Stay tuned folks this could get interesting.

The outrage is there. It mainly consists of politicians blaming guns and calling for more gun control.

Don't mistake following the agenda for outrage. The pols don't give a Peshitta about the victims of these senseless crimes. I'd like to know if this was a legally acquired gun cause you sure as hell know the pols didn't bother to check before following the script...

Meanwhile in other news Holmes formally sentenced to twelve consecutive life sentences plus 3,000+ years. What began in a theatre ended in theatrics. I would have donated the $2.00 30 caliber round to put this beast to rest and spare the taxpayer 3000+ years and 12 lifetimes of expense to let him live out his days. I believe in karma and predict we'll be reading about Monster Holmes demise soon enough...
