  • Under deck fishing rod storage (patent pending all rights reserved)

So most recreational boats have a ton of space under the deck for fenders (bumpers), water skis, fishing poles etc. Problem is keeping everything organized and protected while under way. What about a simple device for storage of fishing poles that consists of a series of 8' PVC tubes attached just below deck? Figure you can keep the line on them and just insert pole into its individual storage component for safe keeping. Patent pending and all rights reserved folks....

Yea the PVC pipes with flared necks for ease of insertion.

We use to install something exactly as you describe when I worked at Saratoga Boatworks. I can't remember the name of the companies that we would order them from, but there were definitely two that offered PVC tubes in 7'-12' lengths which had a water tight threaded cap OR a hinged water tight cap. You may be a tad bit late C ... unless the patents ran out.

You can still patent improvements on designs though I think.
