My wife has a delicious bread recipe and a frittata recipe I'll actually eat. I'll try to get them from her one of these days.

I like to use the cast iron pan to make a few different meals. An easy one that can be modified any way you choose.

Teriyaki chicken thighs (I just eyeball the measurements so season to your taste)
        • Turn oven to 325degrees while heating cast iron pan on stove top
        • Soften onions or scallions in olive oil (butter/coconut oil, whatever you choose) for a couple minutes
        • Push onions to edges and quickly sear both sides of chicken thighs
        • add 1 cup(?) teriyaki sauce
        • add chicken stock to cover thighs
        • Move pan to oven for 30 minutes
Cooks down nicely with a brown sauce. Serve over rice or noodles. I like to throw a couple hot peppers into the pan before I place it in the oven to give it a nice bite.

Cast iron also does a terrific job on New York Strip steak if you don't feel like standing outside by the grill in the cold.
        • Get pan nice and hot on stove top
        • Sear steak for 2 minutes on each side
        • Place in oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes (varies based on thickness of cut)
Steak comes out sizzling like a steak house perfectly medium rare. Season to taste and have at it.

Ok I can go a couple ways

I have a whole cast iron cookbook made by lodge. One of the best cookbooks we have. Picked it up at tractor supply a few years back!

Got a simple one we did last night in the cast iron dutch oven...

Add corned beef and water to pot.
            Throw in some whole cloves.
Bring to boil then turn down to simmer.
3 hrs should be fork tender.
Turn off heat and let stand in water 15 minutes.
            Carve and enjoy!

Can't get much simpler than that.

Yup! Get wegmans pizza dough and split in half. Place one table spoon EVO in cast iron skillet and place half the dough in skillet Flatten dough out and coat in the oil and cover in plastic wrap. Allow to rise one hour and preheat oven to 500 degrees. Place sauce cheese and toppings on pizza and place in oven for 13 minutes and check on it. Once cheese looks done and pizza looks really good take it out. Leave in pan for 8 more minutes to continue to cook crust. Take out of pan, cut and enjoy!

Get pan hot, throw in food item, blacken it one one side, flip it over, blacken this side too. Serve with marshmallows cooked the same way, done.

actually a couple pieces of bacon cut up thrown in a hot pan, a heaping tablespoon of chopped garlic in oil, 1 med to lg onion sliced thin, cook for several minutes, push to sides of pan, dump seanings of choice in to pan, stir a little being careful not to burn them then throw in venison, sear one side then the other, serve.

                    o. Fresh bread, homemade or real bakery, sliced better than 1"
                    o. 3 eggs
                    o. 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup cream or 1.5 cups whole milk
                    o. 1/3 to 1/2 cup Bisquick
                    o. Optional; vanillia, orange or almond extract for flavor
o mix in flat pan with whisp, let stand for 5 min or so, soak bread slices well, place into hot pan with a splash of oil and after after cooking bacon or sausage, pour off fat but save that for cooking other meals, offers wonderful flavor.
                    o. Cook to golden brown on each side, done correctly pan will wipe clean, no scrubbing required.

I often spread an additional table spoon of batter mixture on the uncooked side right after placing in the pan for extra moist french toast. Also heat is dependent on the but of your burner, I cook on gas and wouldn't have it any other way, that is the ***** coming out of this ole kitchen *****.

You got lucky. The statute of limitations almost expired on this one (12/15). Lol

I'll find the recipe and hook you up later.

                            Chilaquiles (Mexican Hangover Remedy)

                            - 1/3 jar of wegmans salsa Verde
                            - 2 eggs, beaten
                            - 1 Chile in Adobo sauce, chopped
                            - all your leftovers from the Mexican you made last night (you do cook mexican. Right? )
                            - couple handfuls of shredded cheese
                            - handful of tortilla chips (I prefer the blue ones)
                            - sour cream
                            - fresh cilantro
                            - queso fresco

throw salsa Verde in the pan, let it reduce slightly.

add veggies, beans, chile adobo, etc. Heat them up. Push to outside of pan when done.

put egg in center, let cook about halfway.

add chips, mix thoroughly. Cook just until chips start to soften. Add cheese, cover to melt.

if you have refried beans or rice, heat separately. Plate with contents of pan on top of rice, serve with a side of refried beans and sour cream. Top all with cilantro and queso fresco.
