I can't see me buying anymore stoves as I think I have enough. I am looking at trying those penny can stove just to try. Also curious if those bio lite stoves really work or is it just a gimmick???

It's an incredible STOVE. It's a crap charger.

On an iphone 6 I got a whopping total of 5% more power after a half an hour of burn time. I've seen people run LED usb lights for a lot longer though so if you just want light this thing could probably run that for hours, still have not tested it yet because I don't have one. lol

Solar with an external battery seems to be a better option IMO. If I had nothing else I suppose this would be ok. The output is apparently only 3watts, there are power pot options that put out much more (5w and 10w that I have seen) and you just boil water inside them.

But it does burn hot, once it gets going you get next to no smoke and I find it pretty easy to cook over it.

But it's also heavy, not something I would want to lug around that long if I was packing.

Loren, when you charge your phone with it, try putting it on airplane mode. It should charge more/faster.
