  • Teriyaki Venison Jerky

I found these cookie cooling racks at Walmart for 8 bucks. Cabela's wants 50+.

I mixed Worcestershire , Liquid Smoke, Mikee's Teriyaki, and some Montreal seasoning in equal measures. Then I food saved it in a canister...it draws the marinade through the meat quicker.

This is how I set it up on the trays using a cookie sheet covered with tinfoil.

In the oven for 2 and a half hours on 170 degrees, and this is what it looks like. It is awesome!

    Very nice

I used to stick a wooden spoon in the oven door to prop it open. I could get the oven to stay at 150

I like the Worcester / teriyaki flavor but I need some heat with it. Red pepper flake and some hot sauce.

Yeah, that's a good idea. I wasn't happy that 170 was as low as I could get the oven. I didn't think of that.

I have too many people that don't like the heat. The Montreal Steak is as much as I can get away with.

I sadly haven't had any venison jerky. I'll trade ya some beef jerky for it!

I hang my strips with toothpicks from the racks, you can really load it up that way.
