. Lots of ribs and bacon getting turned into fertilizer at the farms.
there is absolutely no reason the farmer can not keep feeding them
it's not like they will spoil

Animals already at the slaughter, you, there's a problem, as they process, not raise

I agree we can overcome, but I figured it would be nice to give Sticky Lips some business since Michelle has been taking care of us for a few years now. Hopefully they survive through the shutdown.

As this news begins to circulate, I'm guessing there's going to be a rush to buy up the grocery store meat that's available. Lots of ribs and bacon getting turned into fertilizer at the farms.

I wonder if this will put the May AA lunch in jeopardy.

Luckily i just picked up my 1/4 cow last weekend and have tons of frozen vacuum sealed chicken and pork. Now add another 200 lbs of beef. I'm GTG for a Long time.

Millions of pigs, chickens and cattle will be euthanized because of slaughterhouse closures, limiting supplies at grocers, said John Tyson, chairman of top U.S. meat supplier Tyson Foods.

I can't remember which podcast I listened to where the guest pointed out that the vegetarian and vegan diets are only possible through the creature comforts of modern life. If society breaks down and Wegmans isn't providing everything to support such a limited diet, there aren't going to be many vegetarians left.

He summed it up by saying something like "if you've gone weeks without food and I kill a deer and start cooking it, you're not going to turn down some venison".

Smithfield Foods has closed another meat-processing plant amid the coronavirus pandemic, the company's fifth facility to discontinue operations this month as a result of the illness.

According to Smithfield, a significant supplier of the global meat market, the company has stalled production on a rolling basis since April 19 "out of an abundance of caution" for employees of its St. Charles, Illinois, facility.

I have best luck with 2 hours of salt (dry), and I have not cared for the smoked flavor of cherry on chicken
