Thanks, I've already consulted with an expert. Need to send him pics tomorrow. Not going to do anything pending initial assessment. Will advise.

You just missed a Militaria show at the Patterson Community Center this weekend. Show is sponsored by the Duffle Bag. Owner Brian and his daughter Jean know their stuff. Worth a call or visit.
Ok I can go a couple ways

Nice score! Good luck to you. I'm still looking for a bayonet for my M1 Garand.

Nice find. Of the top 6 items, 1&2 and 5&6 look to be Garand (1&2 cut down M1903 WWI bayonet? and 5&6 the Korean War issued M5...maybe). 3&4 are def. WWII Mauser 98k. Leather looks pretty good on mauser...

BTW, I posted them up on ebay if anybody is interested. The initial bid prices are good value. I hope there is interest and they go higher but would rather see them go to somebody here at those prices. The descriptions in the ebay ads are straight from the appraisal I received, except for actual valuation. If anybody is interested in them, send me a pm and I'll send you the full appraisal so you know what you're bidding on. I just don't want to post that info publically. Thanks.

I'm interested to hear what you find. I scored a handful of knives at a garage sale a year or two ago, and I've been sitting on the knives until I figure out what to do with them.

Sooooo, inquiring minds want to know. Did the expert say to clean and restore or to leave them as is?

Post them up, even if just to get opinions about them! PM me your email if you want the appraisal I received on bayonets but it probably will be of little value with your knifes.

I had posted them either here or at NYF when I got them. I'll see if I can dig up the pictures.

Here's the thread at NYF that I posted them in. http://nyfirearms.com/forums/other-w...ew-knives.html

Today, I got sucked into a yard sale by a nice rolling tool box out front. I dropped the wife and kid off at home and headed back to check it out. Typically, it was sold, so I took a walk around, and on the bottom shelf of a bunch of stuff, I saw 5 knives. Who am I to pass up checking them out? Long story short, $10 later, I head back to the car with my new "toys."

I'm happy with them no mater what, but check them out and let me know if I found anything special.
I threw the pictures onto Flickr. Much easier to share that way. https://flic.kr/s/aHskz6MnZs

The black one with the fat blade looks the most intriguing to me. Not based on any knowledge of knives, just personal tastes.
