My trusted walmart slingshot and steel ball bearings have always been in my BOB..id say if it really happened..you cat a damn branch and use para550 for your shoelaces lol waaalaah!
One thing to keep in mind with the slingshots is that over time, the rubber will degrade, so keep an eye on it.
What about silicone tubing? If it is not exposed to light if should be OK, right? I don't think ozone or air pollution breaks silicone down like it does rubber.
Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own
I have to bend over too far
I get a boner.
bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!
I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......
Preppers do come into the shop and what I've been told, fiberglass bows like the ones you would have used in school are the norm. Moisture and extreme temp variances don't affect them. They can be had pretty cheap too since not many have caught on to them yet.
or ...
The problem I see with the product in the first post is, dirt and crap will hinder it. It's also only available in 50# or 60#. Most people can't pull that back and hold it. That weight WILL go up as you pass 28" of draw as well.
Some preppers are playing around with the sling bows. Noone has come in saying that they would keep it in the BOB but it's still fairly new and I'm sure someone will improve on it.

However, $149 is a whole lot more than $27.99 for a slingshot bow. Does the slingshot bow have to use certain arrows? If so, that's a negative in a shtf scenario if you can't just use any old arrow with it.

That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!
I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

That may be more feasible long-term

That I don't know. The sling bow is pretty much too new to really know all that much about it. I took my slingshot to the shop today and I EASILY could install a Whisker Biscuit rest on it. I would have to use at least 32" arrows to make it a safe as possible with my draw length at 29.5". I might actually try to mount this rest and see what happens. I have a sight mounted on the the slingshot already. If SHTF, eventually you'd run out of arrows and have to make your own. It's like most everything else .. eventually it will run out. The best part about this is, you could remove the rest and fling rocks from it too!! Hahaha
