Went and got a Minn Kota 40lbs Max today from Gander Mountain. Bought a cheap lawn mower battery other day until my deep cycle comes on the 7th.
I was surprised how far I got with such a small battery. I did some full speed testing and slower stuff but like right around the 50 mark for putsing around.
Took it out on canal and had fun except I didnt put sun screen on legs and I'm paying for it now.
Below is pic showing mount I made becuase I wanted to test fit it to make sure I wouldn't have issues there.
I ended up getting around 1.3 to 1.5 miles into wind and current with this battery.
