Trolling motor on Moss Lake?

Am I allowed to use a motor on Moss Lake in Adirondacks? It's so hard to figure out all the rules in Adirondacks. I just registered my canoe today so I can add one.

Also do you have to attach battery to canoe by law or regulation?

Coast Guard regulations require that a battery be secured in a manner such that it will withstand a certain amount of force applied from any direction for a certain period of time (I forget the exact specs). Not sure if this applies to a canoe but common sense would dictate that we don't want to run around leaving lead acid batteries on the bittom of lakes and streams.

If it's in the Adirondack park I doubt very much you can use any motor at all.

Some places in Adirondacks you can you motors and others you can't, heck there are parts you can't even use mechanized travel like a bicycle.
