I agree with Mek and wouldn't use those. There has to be a piece of frame somewhere that you can attach a rope or strap to. Don't forget if front fails your hood will fly open possibly at highway speeds.

How to tie down canoe to car?

I'm going to try and get under car today...... any type of rope that I can tie a loop and forget it for a year or two before replacing?www.AvidArms.com I'm STIHL out of conditioner!!

Check your owners manual to see if you have tow hook attachment points. I'm not sure if this is your vehicle or not but I think it might be. Look for square plastic knockout cover on front and rear bumper. Tow hook screws into that. Your car should have come with one hook if it has this. Buy another for when you're carrying canoe and you're all set. I'd hook a carabiner off to this and tie rope to the carabiner but that is just personal preference.

I do have that and it comes with 1 hook which as you see is off center and I used it in front to get canoe home . Looking for something easier then screwing that thing in everytimewww.AvidArms.com I'm STIHL out of conditioner!!
