  • Anyone make their own firestarters?

Curious if any of you have and if so what do you use to make them? I'm thinking of starting to make my own and looking for inspiration as I want to try to do something no one else has that I know of yet. Not sure exactly what I want to do yet other then combining different ones together.

Gunner was playing around with this, perhaps he'll chime in one of these days now that the season is over.
Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

    I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

Any thoughts on attributes of perfect fire starter?

I would think that the smaller and lighter, the better. Steel wool and a 9v battery work fantastic.

Easy to light, waterproof, long burn time.
I like cotton pads dipped in wax. Vaseline is good, but the wax is less messy.

I'm thinking of doing something magnesium shavings, maybe some saw dust, and wax. Possibly with some sort of built in ignition system using match heads.
