  • Emergency flashlights

Saw this in my email and talked about them before. http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=mh_12545...ealid=abe517c6 . thinking about getting the plug in wall one and even the one with crank because I think you can charge cell phone with it too. Lots of power outages lately here in NYS.

I recently bought an Anker battery pack for charging my phone when camping. You can never have enough light sources. I have quite a few. Some headlamps for night hiking/kayaking. Red bulb is a must for me as I prefer not to be spitting out bugs all night. I also have some that clip onto the brim of a hat. Green ones are supposed to highlight blood trails better. For the house I have a flashlight that gets charged by shaking it.I might have to get one of those plug in type lights.
I'd also like to get a solar device for charging stuff, nothing to the extent of what you have USMC.

Yea that thing is a beast and heavy but it also runs the water filtration set up I have that can supply a ton of people in short order.

I picked up a Luci Outdoor Inflatable Solar Light the other day at the Field and Stream Store. For $15.00 is a cool design, charges up in 8 hours, and provides 12 hours of light when it's on the 'High' setting. It provides 65 Lumens of light, and can easily light up an entire room.

I sent them a email last night telling them to come out with an improved model that also has RED LED Lights on it so it won't attract bugs and preserve night vision as an added bonus.

*EDIT* DOH, I see that they already have a model that changes color. Too bad Field and Stream doesn't stock it, or I would have bought that one! Grr!
