  • Anyone do metal detecting?

I got one as a gift a year or two ago for Christmas and since I found a metal awning hook when digging fire pit in yard I decided to give it a try in part of my yard where grass isn't growing at moment. With little time I already found a penny from 1974, a 1975 dime and a chunk of bent metal, maybe from lawn mower blade.

    Anyone have any experience?

Yup. Got all kinds of belts and bags and tools and finders lol. I've also been flying one with me everywhere and any continent i go to on vacation. That metal thing looks to me like someones oldass clothes line pully that might have fell from the tree or something. I've found gold necklaces gold rings, silver coins, coins from 1864..all kinds of mini bullets from civil war and revolutionary war, buttons from revolutionary war, all kinds of stuff. The trick is to set the discriminate to not find junk metals(if yours has a knob to do that) but the one trick to that is, gold and silver also fall in the exact range as tin and crap..so you just can't ignore all those crappier metal tones..dig dig dig. Once u get the bug you're gonna wanna upgrade to a smarter better type so you don't keep bending down and digging every little thing you hear just to find out it's a gum wrapper..Enjoy!

My daughter got a decent one for Christmas a few year back, we used to take it down to the beach and dig for buried treasure (loose change and pop cans). I should pull that thing back out again one of these days............
Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

            I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

I was looking around and I guess from what I read quite a few people in wny go hunting for civil war stuff. Mini ball etc. sounds interesting actually.

Ive always wanted to get a metal detector, with my, new to me, old house, I'm sure id find a ton of crap buried around the property. I second the clothes line pulley by the way.
Are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?

I will continue to flash cops
