OK let's get gross

So any home remedy's for an ingrown hair/pimple that just won't go away? Almost 50 years old and can't get this "growth" on my cheek to heal. Been a good two months. Ready to take out the Wilson Combat and slice it lol. Seriously what to do?

Hot compress (as hot as you can stand it).
Pinch the perimeter around the ingrown hair. It should expose itself with this.
Take a tweezer and grab the sob and yank it out.

Pimple and ingrown hair are not the same and require different treatment as you know. For pimples or boils try " Ichthammol ointment " USP 20%. Over the counter at pharmacies. It is a black drawing salve and smells a bit like coal tar but it works well. Put a dab on the skin and cover with a band-aid. Renew everyday for a few days and pimple or boil will come to a head. You know the rest of the drill...

Post #3 by Master, is correct, Doesn't hurt to soak the hot compress in Epson salts, meat tenderizer will also work, just don't get carried away and put it on your meat, HA HA HA, but it will work. A pin will dork in fishing the little bastard out of hiding, they just curl around and work their way under the skin. Top the process off with some peroxide on a cotton ball for a bit, at least till you feel the sting to help prevent infection.

An old remedy is to take the skin from the inside of an egg shell and let it dry on the boil. In the morning the core will be stuck to it and come out when you peel it off. Don't know how true this but if I had no other options I'd probably try it.

I suffer from H.S. Disease. It's basically like having boils but they come in three's and its constant. Never with out them. It blows ass. Anyway coming from a pro, soak a wash cloth in hot-ish water, then put a hot pack on it. Keep it there for a while I keep it on till the skin becomes thing and plyable and you can feel the core. From here you can keep going till it opens, once it does make sure you get all the infection out by pushing on the sides. Squeeze till just blood comes out. Now me, I have had over 100 "surgeries" (slice, squeeze, pack), I sanitize my area with isopropyl, then the red stuff, I heat an exact knife till its cherry then cool it. I soak the blade in isopropyl, then find the soft spot. Slice it twice in a () pattern. So it's gonna be open for a bit. Squeeze till blood, pure blood flows. Now don't go deep, just the skin its self a few cm. if you can't do this pattern () put a small piece of gauze (sterile) in it. Remember to sterilize everything! Good luck!
