          I'm pretty good at procrastinating. Guessing I could show some people how to do that better.

                    Had to work on the pool deck today, went to use my Black and Decker 18v drill. Had it since 2004 and haven't used either batteries since then! Garbagey NiCd type and memory issues in full effect, in fact completely dead and tried charging for 5 hours, took them off the charger and not even a piece of energy. Soooo, i took my 12v Lead acid batt i keep for emergency SHTF mini generating, i put in series with my 12v car batt and lawnmower batt so i have 36v now.. I took the Negative of the 3 in series and attached to the Negative of dead 12 year old 18v drill battery, took the Positive from the 36v series and tapped the Positive end of the 12 year old shot battery about 10 times (you get a few staticky looking sparks..and WALLAH!! Wait 10mins for the cells to cool back down after shocking them back to life then I put iton the original charger, 5 hours later I got full life tested with voltage meter showed 17v and used it to finish deck! Did both batteries and saved myself 110$ if I would've bought 2 more, I would've cried. Magical tricks of the electrical trade I tell ya

                      **update on revived fully dead 12 year old batteries**.....


                      Day 2 after 4 fully charging cycles, still working like new!! Awesomeness! In fact told my Step Pops about it, he also had 2 ancient dead batteries..did the trick posted before this post..again..pure success! Both of his are alive and newish, from zero 24 hours ago we've now got 4 to bust out this decking

                                Radio/communications along with alternative energy. Also a decent background in permaculture and orchards, poultry, homesteading in general.
