Bic lighters are a must, hands down. I know I've said it a few times but man on my travels hocking a lighter gets ya far.

Also barter is more the swapping... Services go far as well. So, if your handy with a sharpening stone or or have a fancy sharpening kit, that will def be big in bartering world.

maxi pads and tampons, booze, any kind of medication, fire kits, soap, toothbrushes. ammo is a no-go for me. never let go of something that could be sent back your way in anger.

My personal rule is never trade anyone anything that could be used to kill you. Ammo, guns, knives... if you trade those items you are advertising that you have a surplus of those items. People will pickup on this and will eventually come take from you. That is just my opinion though. I like silver in 1 Gram increments.

            Here's one in need:

Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

            I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

I think I'm gonna learn to make flat bread and use that as my barter item. Simple to make and highly desirable.

It's a crap shoot for sure, but I think that could be a way to begin to forge alliances or mutual benefit arrangements.

The tough question is, "how do you figure out who to trust even a little bit?"

Thats a different story, if you need to form an alliance, it could be helpful to trade survival items, as compared to comfort items.

Now, when it comes to trading survival items, I suppose if one is low in one item, but has a surplus of another you could barter for a survival item of equal value that your low on. But, I would always worry that someone was "feeling me out" to see if we had items worth risking a battle for. If someone sees you have a small group with lots of supplies, and they have a large group in hiding you could easily become a target.

As for who to trust.... thats a tough one! Im overly trusting by nature, but also a good judge of character when I meet someone face to face, but in a shtf people are gonna fake being the good guy all day long.

No worries! I will trade you some of my delicious flatbread or my home made booze without any risk.

Although it would be quite a trip across the state to meet up.
