RRFD will do a free walk through of the house and show you the recommended places to install them based off of your structure layout.

Just thought I would also share these detectors, they sync wirelessly so if one goes off anywhere in house they all go off saving you and your family precious seconds to escape .

I have been told by the security company that systems that are independent like smoke only or carbon only they are a lot more reliable than the ones who do
both smoke and carbon. But I think any option is better than nothing.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

There are actually two types of sensors for smoke alone. One being photoelectric which is better for smoldering fire detection and the other type I forget name that use radioactive element which is better for fast spreading fires.

Either way I like the idea of all the alarms going off when anyone does so your not waiting for one closer to you to sound when it might be too late at that point if it started in basement for example.
