Nothing really. Moving to the country in June. At most, tilling up a patch in the fall. Next year will be doing a good amount.

Still pretty frozen here also .... just turned 2 of the compost bins out ..... loaded up the number one bin from the chicken coop.
Have the first of the flats set up under one bank of lights( tomato, pepper, eggplant) getting ready to seed onions in ... late as usual.
Have the rosemary cloning away for market ( about 160 ) .

usmcveteran - google earth ..... you can look at your property and advance and retard the years/times of the image data ... lots of times you can watch the shadows and leaf cover change.

Also, for figuring sun angles, etc - download an app called sun board and one of the protractor apps like smart protractor. Using those to identify possible locations for solar arrays.

Not really ready yet here to do anything outside, the place where I have the garden is still somewhat froze and apparently where suppose to get a good snow storm which is weird as it was almost 68 degrees here today and it is still 51 degrees out, The temp is going to drop like hell to nite so I think I will not be doing anything till maybe the end of this month or May..once the ground is thawed and not to muddy then I till the garden to start getting it ready to plant...
I could probably could get away with a 52 inch shaft but if I could get a 54 inch shaft that would be great as I could always adjust the length of the shaft

After the disaster I had last year I'm trying something new this year. I've been saving old Keurig K-cups and emptying those out to use as seed starters. The advantage I have with those over a seed starting kit is they are individual so I've got a row of various seeds on a window ledge that faces south and gets lots of sun. Also, it's right above one of the heating pipes so when the boiler fires it helps keep them warm along with the sun. I planted the seeds on Thursday so we'll see what happens when things begin to sprout (hopefully). Inside the cups I used some peat moss mixed with bone meal and some fertilizer to get things off to a great start (again, hopefully).

As far as plants themselves, I planted the following. Jalapeno, Habanero, Arugula, Iceberg Lettuce, Cucumbers, Spanish Sweet Onions, Sweet Basil, Bell Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes. Broccoli and Celery. More to come later once these things start growing
I could be wrong...it's happened before and it'll happen again.

Thanks USMC,where only growing 4 Tomato plants this 3 Big Boys and 1 Sweet 100 Tomato plant, where trying something a little different this year with the Tomato plants as you can see there in 5 gallon pails with the bottom cut out, this will help with keeping the plants from sagging to fast and keep them going straight up the rack, you will also notice all the racks have steel and wood pools going up the racks, this helps the plants from leaning and breaking when they get so heavy like they did the last couple years on us they got to be just a little over 5 feet tall..It look like a Jungle then as we had around 20 plants the first time then grew 15 the next year, where not growing that many this year as we still have like 64 quarts still.next year will have to plant at least 15 we figure..

Oh if any one is wondering why the fence is there it is to help keep the rabbits and stray cats out,the burlap is there to help control the wind from knocking down the plants..

                            Clarence

I haven't planted mine yet, though the seedlings are in the greenhouse. I generally don't plant until the first week of June because of frost. I was going to plant this weekend, but the forecast is calling for a possibility of frost Sunday night. So we may plant seeds and do the transplants mid-week. We have already harvested and dried lots of chives, and our garlic is coming up very nicely.
