HF Amateur Radio Demonstration interest?

Just wondering if anyone here would be interested if I gave a brief over view of using a HF radio at a local park this spring or summer in Rochester area? I am by no means an expert but can show the basics and if you have appropriate license let you give it a try.

Next time we get together I can show you..... I have portable set up I can do anywhere. Get your general license or higher and I'll let you use it as well and B if he gets his as well.

Yea if B wants to get his as well. A lot of people ask what is point with internet now a days but the challenge to see how far you can talk over radio is what I enjoy.

Just because you have license to do something doesn't mean you have equipment lol. I got extra license for baeofeng radio that tech license would have been fine for lol

Oh and like I said if you don't have license you can see what its all about. My biggest thing when starting was what is easiest way to get on air and I will show that.

I'd be interested like CG, a YouTube vid would be great. Rochacha is a bit of a schlep for me. Otherwise I'd be all over it.

No guarantees on a YouTube video but if I can come up with some sort of video plan I might try it and worse case share it but keep it private.

Actually by rules they can operate as the long as a licensed operator is supervising. You can get them on the air without a licencse.

So anyone interested you don't need your license assuming that you never had one before.

Pink stink, I think you'll enjoy it. Its expensive hobby but the capabilities are worth it IMO.
