Pocket Fisherman?

I am sure someone here has experience with them. What are your thoughts on the Pocket Fisherman? It looks cool but not sure how well it actually works.

It doesn't work very well. My wife's cousin carries one in their boat for Peshittas and giggles. It barely casts but they have managed to catch some small perch with it though.

Website looks kinda incomplete. They have nothing in the combo section and the only real they show is a fly real.

Another option for you to consider is a heavier action ice fishing pole. Way more functional than that pocket fisherman.

It should work. If one knows what he/she is doing you can catch fish with a line and a stick.
Most fishing unnecessary paraphernalia is designed to catch many fisherman and not many fish.

It's ok. It's bigger than it looks when its not assembled. The plastic ring in the first eyelet will break first cast. The bottom of the pen will not fit very well when extended and is annoying. The reel will come loose from the rod and you constantly have to tighten it. I've caught small rainbows from a stocked pond with it (knew I was gonna catch and wanted to see how it performed). I wouldnt buy it again, but its better than the Ronnco. Camper is right, get an ice fishing rig.

At boyscout camp I used a stick with fishing line, sinker and hook and caught fish .
