No special preps here. I figure if you're not always prepared, what's the point. It cracks me up to see the sheep in full on panic mode. Everywhere I went today I saw people buying shovels, batteries, and the like. It's as if they've never seen snow before. How do you live in NY and not have a snow shovel?
Politicians are like diapers. They both need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

I'm just ready for it to get underway already. It's eerily calm here right now.

I always used to say (and i still do) that the media and A & Ps and the supermarkets are always in cohoots to make the sheep run for "milk and bread" no matter what storm, the dumbass media shoots the fear in em to run run spend the money..a normal smart prep yes, a run for your life bread n cheese, stick in your arse!

It was the same when we lived in Oklahoma and would get an ice storm or blizzard (yes, we actually had one I got caught in trying to get home...not fun!). The weather people do their thing and people would scramble to the store and buy up everything from ice scrappers to ground beef. The difference there is they don't have the equipment to handle a big snow event and would only clear the main roads so unless you had a truck to get out of your neighborhood you were stuck, lol! It would usually be melted in a day or two...not like here where it stays around forever.

That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

Watching the "local" news out of the city and you'd think it was the end of the world. Although I didn't grow up here I get it, it's the northeast in January....it gets cold and it snows! It does bring back memories of when I worked in TV news in OKC and we would have wall to wall weather coverage for just about anything. My favorite moment was when one of our reporters was doing a live shot when it was sleeting with winds about 30 MPH and gusts of 40 or so. When asked by the anchor sitting in the comfy warm studio what it felt like out there she replied with, "it feels like someone's punching me in the face!" I don't miss those days at all, lol!

What did ya do? Pay off the weatherman???? Now he's saying 2 to 6 inches! So much for this storm... before long, it probably will be 1 to 3 inches of snow at this rate.

Looks like the only thing that was blowing fiercely and gusty was FUAC and his commie regime. FUAC. For the children. What a bunch of sheep lol....

Looks like we got about 2 inches here. It's still lightly snowing but not enough to use the snowblower

Not sure how much we had. Not much maybe 4 or 5 inches. Still took me a couple hours to clear everything off. Did the sidewalk in front of mine and my neighbor's house. Think I may be getting a call from Child Services later... The town plow did a double take as I was driving my son down to his friend's house. Sitting in the bucket on the tractor wasn't a problem when I was growing up, lol...
