      Came across a very interesting product that I think some of you might be interested in its called Instafire Fire Starter Pouches looks like it might be a great addition to your BOB.

          Anybody ever use these Wind and Water Proof Matches ?

          I think I am going to give them a try to round out my fire starting kit.

            I have used the waterproof ones and they do indeed work. Wind proof ..... I don't know anything about that.

                Gunpowder is also a good base for starting a fire. Crack open a shell and place the powder under your tinder spark it and you have fire if you are despite the primer can be used to light it.
