Yesterday I went to Orchard Park to dig my parents out of the snow. They hadn't been able to get out since last Monday, they had a huge amount of snow on their roof that was causing concern, and they were getting low on food. So I showed up there at 8am with groceries, shovels, my snow blower, and extra fuel. Travel ban was still in effect but I didn't see any cops.
After shoveling out their driveway just enough so they could get out, and roof raking a metric Peshitta ton of snow off their roof, I worked my way over to their elderly neighbor's house. Her roof had dangerous looking drifts handing off so I raked those off too. When done I asked if she needed anything, and she said all she wanted was a hug, since she was so glad someone came by to help. That made the trip all worthwhile.
