    TURKEY SHOOT KARMA FOR THANKSGIVING

    Sorry for shouting but now that I've got your attention...

    I'd be honored to buy two of you fine ladies or gents a turkey for Thanksgiving. My way of saying thanks.

    Here's the deal. Got this weekend, all of next week and next weekend to shoot your best 10 round 22 shot on a standard NRA small bore target at 50 yrds. The one with black rings at about 3 3/4" and rings numbered from 1 to 10. I'll post pick later. Give it your best shot, write NYSG turkey shoot and date it and post up a pic here. Multiple entries allowed but only one per member per day. Drawing a week from Sunday and will mail a $25 visa card to two winners on the following Monday. Two highest scores win. If bullet touches ring it counts towards higher score. In event of tie winners will be drawn randomly.

    If you don't have any NRA targets you can draw one on a 9" paper plate. Will provide measurements later.

    Let's have some fun and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families.

    BTW everyone including site mods, and everyone's family is eligible to apply. Post your kid's entries too but best entry per member's circle per day still applies. Happy shooting.

      Can I use a shoot and c targets? I would have to see what I have I think I got some different brand shoot n c targets,I do know I have some Birchwood Casey Dirty Bird Target and some others I can not remember.. I use these even with a scope because of my eye sight it makes it easier for me to see where I am hitting,trying to see a 22lr hole in a regular paper targets is very hard for me..

      I could probably could get away with a 52 inch shaft but if I could get a 54 inch shaft that would be great as I could always adjust the length of the shaft

        Click it and find out, lol... its some dirty deal USMC made with the Man, lol. They add the links to ads and user clicks help offset some costs of running the site.

            Here are the "Official" NRA rules... http://compete.nra.org/documents/pdf...R/sbr-book.pdf

            Don't worry we're just going to use them as a guideline.

            This is what the NRA Official 50 yrd Small Bore Rifle Target looks like.



            The intent is to get everyone on a level playing field, if you targets approximate this your GTG. You can draw a target on a 9" paper plate if you don't have one.

            Here are the standards by which this competition will be determined....

            1. Above all else let's have some fun! Take your kids, spouses, girlfriends/boyfriends and throw some lead down range.
            2. 10 shots of .22 or .17 cal. Rimfire at 50 yards per target
            3. Only shots placed within "black" (i.e., 7 ring) count for scoring - shots outside 7 ring are scored zero
            4. Shots touching ring count towards higher score
            5. Shots touching X-ring count as 10 pts but # of X ring scores will count towards tie breaking
            6. As an example 1 shot in 5 ring, 3 shots in 7 ring, 1 shot in 8 ring, 1 shot in 9 ring and 4 shots in 10 ring with 2 X's will count as 78 pts 2X. Maximum score is 100 pts 10X.
            7. All scores posted must include NYSG Turkey Shoot and be dated
            8. You're on the honor system.
            9. One entry per member (including friends and family) per day.
            10. Contest ends Sunday Nov 30th at 9 pm EST.

              I would like to try this out but I am not sure I am good enough to be enter in this,So I will Thank You for the nice Karma..Maybe I see if I can find some of these targets to try out I let you know I might still have time to try this out I think if I can find or make the target you have,I do have some other targets I maybe able to use I have to see if they are the same as the one you have in the photo..

                Chris would you know the one your showing can you scan them so we could print them out on a printer?

                  Officialy that is the TQ 3/1 target. See if you can find a free printable verion on-line.
                  Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

                  bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

                  I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

                      Thank You USMC and thughes,

                      I am looking now for the correct size so I can print some of these out,do you guys no what the resolution size would be to print these out to a 11'' x 8 1/2'' printing paper if I am looking at images of the target.. Just want to make sure I print out the right ones which are the TQ 3/1 target ones that thughes posted..

                        Scope or open sights?

                        Also idk if I can get a target and time to do it but if I do I want you to either donate to the site or donate my turkey to someone who needs it. I'll try and do this, this coming weekend.

                          Breaking out the target rifle. If I win, I would like you to donate the turkey to someone in your community that may need it. Church, shelters .... anyone that doesn't have the luxury of a cardboard box and two candles like I do. Oh and ... iron sights only for me. I hate scopes.

                            Clarence I'd say at this point punching a few holes in a piece of looseleaf paper with a pencil stands a great chance of winning LOL. Not exactly an overwhelming response I had hoped for. For those of you who said to donate it I'll buy a turkey and give to local VFW if you win. Thanks now post up some pics ha ha....

                              .17 or .22 cal rimfire at 50 yards. Choice of platform and shooting position is up to the shooter. This is karma and point is to have some fun.
