usmc, please save the money for the card and the stamp. No need to send me a thank you. Spend it on things you need for your home. That was the entire point of this karma. You've expressed your gratitude enough for me in this thread. When we finally meet up, you can shake my hand. Just make sure you ask me where I've been and what I've been doing before you shake it

    All the best bro........

Yeah, we don't need no stinking card!

Just post up pics of stuff you do with the tools, that's thanks enough!

That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

I could have been enjoying his nuts.

I stopped by the dealer today because I was near there . I told him I needed a trimmer and a leaf blower. At first he suggested the stihl fs38 and bg55. I told him I also wanted to use the leaf blower for the gutters becuase I constantly have stuff falling into them and I want something that will have extra power without going way overboard because needs change and would hate to be under powered for something .

He then suggested the fs 56re I think, the one with standard grip and the bg86. He told me its not worth the money for the easy start models if you can help it because they will just give you issues down the road.

I plan on working them and look forward to trying my hand at edging with the the trimmer! Any tips?

          Wear shoes?

Sorry, I don't do any of that fancy stuff out here in the country. As long as it's green and doesn't stick ya, I'm good. lol

            Wear glasses.

FWIW, it's way easier to maintain an edge with a string trimmer than it is to create one with it. If you can rent/borrow a little wonder edger to establish everything and keep it going with a string trimmer you'll be way ahead of the game.

As stated eye protection, but nobody mentioned ear protection? That constant, loud drone of the engine can definitely effect your hearing.

This one's done. We raised $505 for house warming gift and thank you to USMC for all he does around here.

Special thanks to the following members for your generous contributions:

                    SailorJerry
                    Phritz
                    THughes

                    4Ex
                    And 24Pink

I decided against Amex on the account of some small lawn equipment shops might not take it and bought a $500 Visa gift card and will be mailing to USMC tonight. The fee for the card was $4.95 so I'm shorting him a nickel LOL. Seriously, I'll give you $5 next time I see you if its a problem LOL. Congrats on the house and thanks again for all you do to keep this place running. Be sure to post up whatever you decide to buy with it.
