NYSG Cookout, Mid Hudson Area

    4eX is right! You are way up there, lol! According to Google maps it would take about 4.5 hours and 250 miles. Hope that helps Clarence!

      Yes I am smack on the border,I am only about 400 yards from the American customs and about the same to get on the bridge to Vermont.

      I could probably could get away with a 52 inch shaft but if I could get a 54 inch shaft that would be great as I could always adjust the length of the shaft

        So I take it your south of Albany? I between 2.15 to 2.5 hours from Saratoga Springs and about 3 hours to Albany depending how fast I drive,lol

          Yep! Albany is about two hours north. We are halfway between there and the city but on the east side of the Hudson.

            Ok sounds good,I will see how things will be when it comes time as I would like to go and meet up with you this summer,so many things I want to do but first is to get the funds to make the trips to all the places I want to go to..My first 2 trips will be to Gunner place and going camping with USMC..I need to see if I can sell some stuff first not sure what but I really want to do this no matter what I need to sell..

            Gunner said he would take care of me where I can stay,all I need would be gas money and toll road money which should not be to much of a issue for me..USMC and a few other said they would help with camping gear for me,so I should be good with that part as it would not cost to much for gas to go and food..

            I think the only things I would need to go up your way would be gas,motel and toll money and food,the hardest part is getting money for a place to stay up your way for a couple days,as that would be the main cost of the trip out your way as you know hotels or motels can be costly to stay at depending on the time of the year..

            Will just have to see what happens when the time gets closer..

                Weekends sounds great for me,I think April 25th sounds good for me,do you have a set time?.

                The only reason I ask is since it is a 4.5 hour drive for me I would have to try and leave really early in the AM to get to your place or leave on Friday and spend a extra day up your way,that way I am rested up for Saturday the same would be the same to come back home...

                  You could probably crash at our house Clarence. We got room. Oh and as far as time I'm thinking about 5 ish since it takes 8 hours to smoke the brisket.

                      I don't think it would be a problem for you crashing here but let me double check with the wife, lol! That whole happy wife happy life thing. It really shouldn't be an issue though
