Camping trip?

I know its WAY early but never too early to start planning!

Just trying to gauge how much if any interest there would be for a camping trip?

Could be car camping at free site, could rent multiple sites together at a camp ground, could be a BOB themed trip where you use you BOB only for the trip so you get actual practice using your gear and find out what you don't think you would need or what you need that you forgot about.

Ask any backpacker....... going on a hiking trip lets you know quickly what items really are necessities and what aren't!

Could do all of the above if people want too.

Just trying to gauge interest and based on the interest here I can start throwing some ideas together.

Everyone is always welcome. We would be right on the water, have power, real bathrooms with running water, fishing, hunting, swimming, shooting, archery... all accessible and close... but still only 10 minutes from hot coffee in the morning... lol

I got my order in at Hammock Gear for the Black Friday sale so I'm good to go with camping all year round. I have two trips planned for January. One up in Canada and one down in Allegheny State Park. Hopefully I get some chilly days. So far the lowest I've had the new gear down to is 18* and I was toasty.

An unexpected journy i will take. Early enuff planned that I can take off work and responsibities. If it meshes with the other camp out, im out, but i Know its our fams camp out

You know USMC I like the whole camping idea the only problem I would have is the hiking as walking would kill me,I mean it would not bother me to much as long as it is not to far and I am not do any hill climbing as it would absolutely kill me with the back,leg and foot problems I am going through..

The other thing it all depends where this would all be taken place as you know money plays a big factor for me and how far I would need to drive to get to where you plan on doing this camping trip,the other thing would be is getting camping gear as I have none what so ever..

If there is enough interest for the different ideas no reason can't do multiple trips even if everyone can't make all of them.

I guarantee Clarence that there is gear here you could use for free. I have extra sleeping bags for example.

Once we get idea of interest in different ones I am willing go plan everything even if I can't make them all.

I have igloo maker...... Just saying, wouldn't be as much work with more people. Can try various shelter types too.
