Short, simple, fishing 2A and guns plus double meaning we talk about everything from fishing to guns? I do like the general outdoor/survival theme too.

Personally, I like the 2aPatriot.com from the previous page if you want to get away from a state or regional site.

If you are trying to also attract fishing and outdoors types, then this site would be catering to a much larger audience than 2nd Amendment oriented types, and I think it would eventually change the feel of the forum completely.

I agree 110%, only problem is all the pussies that would not want to be associated with a site that has "Patriot" in the name. Sadly, a majority of the sheep are just plain chickenPeshilta and paranoid of being viewed as "extremists" (re: "Patriots") and would stay away because of that. In the same vein, anything to do with "prepper" or "Survivalist" would keep the same people away. We need to decide whether we really want those weenies here or if this is going to be a narrowly focused "2A and liberty" site with a limited membership.

I think long term patriot will be more acceptable anyways and will still open up more membership potential while keeping away some of those we probably don't want anyways like thughh said.

Plus just because URL says were firearms doesn't mean we won't have the fishing and outdoor stuff.

Question is...... Do we rename this forum and tweak it or nuke it and start from scratch regardless of what new name we use?

I try to visualize a place not a group of people or socio political group by region. Northern something like that is not tied to anything unless that anything is really specific too. It is so generic that is like saying northern woods ... just like the brand north face. I don't see people from South Africa feeling out because of the north word in it. Generic is the way but I think it is generic 'enough' yet inspiring about nature and outdoors. Also one domain name means little these days before securing variants of the brand including obvious misspellings, social media pages, etc.. IMO anything with shooting, guns, firearms, 2A, etc... is so widely used that doesn't call for anything special nor inspiring.
I think the name is really comes second. The vision, direction, etc...is more important as 1st step.
