I like the idea that the angle of the grip on the ares is same as an 870 and action is similar to that of a semiauto shotgun. Figured after testing this out on my other lowers, I'd give myself an excuse get an Ares. Can also put in one of my stripped Six8 uppers so ammo can be fed through the Six8 Pmags. Lots of ideas for this cartridge.
If you have large hands like me wrap the torsten grip in paracord, The difference it is like day and night. ..and the buffer tube if you want. Will raise the cheek .2" or so and will be useful in an emergency vs. the foam or the magpul raisers. The six8 is actually a good idea. but keep in mind some Cmags and pri give 2.30 to 2.31 already.

BTW buell for the pistols I was thinking to leave the barrel bull and also make a custom thread of .9 or .8 min so we leave substantial meat around the
the muzzle. Then have a brake machined to match the custom threads and flush with the barrel. The gas block can be .92 std bull barrel.
        What do you think?
The more meat the more accurate and will run cooler and this is going to be a handful so the added weight will be welcome.
There is no limit in weight with a welded magazine, is there?
        Thanks.

That's pretty damn big but when swinging a hammer.... Make it a F'in sledgehammer. I'm down.

Well it is a hammer!! ... there is no escaping that. The recoil will be tamed by the buffer but otherwise will be like shooting 3x 45 ACP bullets in one shot. LOL

I was also thinking to ask for some shallow cuts to the barrel. Not straight fluting that can have some ill effect in accuracy but instead some
flat spiral just like flat threads. This after finishing is very sleek. This will shave some weight but the main reason is because it helps to dissipate heat very fast.
So it will help with the pistol in case you go rambo with it. LOL

Something like this but not so deep and straight. just a small section before the port that is where we have most heat build up.

And they say krieger barrels are expensive. Maybe but maybe they are cheap after seeing what it goes into them and how they shoot. Same thing with lothar walther...

                    • I got confirmation yesterday that we are going to get some bolts and barrels made. At the moment I cannot test the barrel. I am waiting for another bolt and also for the weather
that has been too cold to go outside. But no problem we have plenty of stuff to do getting other things ready.
