Appleseed this past weekend!

Well we just had our spring Appleseed at my Club, Sara Spa Rod & Gun Club (just north of Saratoga Springs) Weather could not have been better mid to high 60's on Sat. mid 70's on Sun. no wind no bugs just a lot of hot brass!! One gentleman drove up from Long Island with his wife ( She watched) another gentleman can from the Buffalo area with his youngest son (early 20's) for his Birthday said his two older boys wanted to come also but couldn't get off from work!

We had 15 to 18 shooter on the line each of the two days and 9 to 11 instructors, So a lot of time was given to each shooter 1 on 1 . I think we have 5 or 6 shooter qualify for rifleman patches (210 or better on the AQT) high score was a 238!!

We also had one shooter except the Orange Hat and become a IIT (instructor in training)

My Club was one of the first if not the first Club to host a Appleseed shoot in NY about 8/9 years ago. Some of our earlier shoots had close to 50 shooter on the line. We have 2 shoots a year around April 19 ( the anniversary of Lexington and Concord) and then again in Sept. around the anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga, Which we go into some of that history also because of our location!
