I am offering the NRA Basic Pistol Instructor course this November 1, 2015, out of our new space in Hawthorne, NY with range activities out of Blue Mountain Sportsman Center.
Full disclosure: I have a conflict with the 2nd date (Nov 7) so that session will be pushed further out. I will ensure no classes are held on the day before, or or day after the 1st day of hunting season.

Basic Instructor Training / Pistol Instructor (BPI) prerequisites:
This is a "BIT" (Basic Instructor Training) course. All NRA instructor candidates who are not NRA instructors or, who are instructors with BIT certification that is outside of two years are required to sit BIT.
All participants must be able to lawfully possess handguns in the jurisdiction where range activities are being conducted.
NRA basic pistol instructor candidates must be proficient pistol shooters prior to entry into the course. This course is not intended nor designed to teach the instructor candidate how to shoot.
NRA Basic Pistol Instructor course dates & times:
Sun 11/01; 9:00am – 5:00pm [classroom]
Sat 11/07; 9:00am – 5:00pm [classroom]
Sun 11/22; 9:00am - 3:00pm [range]
Course fee: $260; includes all materials and range use fees, does not include ammunition or certification fees payable directly to the NRA (every two years : $50 for non NRA members, $30 for NRA members) upon successful completion of the course.
Classroom portions of this course will be held at 194 Brady Ave, Hawthorne NY.
Range exercises will be conducted at the Blue Mountain Sportsman Center in Cortlandt NY (Westchester County).
