Hey LHT is that a SIRT Training Pistol in your avatar?

Do you run any classes that requires use of a SIRT pistol? I bought one a while back but haven't used it much. Would like to take some classes...

Yes indeed it is a SIRT gun. It is a challenge build an entire class for anyone above beginner pistol using only the SIRT gun. I have done a SIRT only shoot, but the guys were dedicated and we (me too) are all kids at heart. I have the soda pop targets and a couple of bullseye targets, and sometimes will throw a stage into some FoF stuff I am doing.

The biggest impediment I face now is...time. Hopefully our collective schedules clear and we (our team) get together and put out a few cool shooting /fighting programs. I'll cheat a bit and make it easier for old guys like me. The young 22 yr olds perpetually kick my potatoes all over the place.

Yes, "classroom", used only and exclusively for classes - except for the occasional business meeting and SIRT shoot.

Yeah, that's what I meant, FoF, retention drills, etc. Up close and personal. Figure you can only do this realistically with a SIRT or other "dummy" gun. I'm old too, but would welcome the opportunity to do some realistic training, lol...

I have to forewarn you, FoF training is pretty taxing, but VERY eye opening. My problem (heh) is I use younger guys and gals as the "bad guy" who are steeped in martial arts - particularly ground fighting. I have to find some likewise old farts like myself so my target audience is not coming close to stroking out from fighting these 24 yr olds. The issue is...,my "bad guys" are representative of what real bad guys are.

Very sobering.
