There are lots of people that are legally blind that own and use firearms. If they even mention your disability they are opening themselves up to getting the Peshitta sued out them! I have only heard great things about MDTS.

I took this one with RPD before I got my permit, you get a nice certificate to hand in with your PP application. Dave runs a good program but it may be a bit out of the way for you.
http://www.safeinrochester.com/courses.php?id=20Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own
I have to bend over too far
I get a boner.
bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!
I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

LMAO TH. Jimbo, you learn how to operate a shotgun for self defense/home protection. Pump or semi-auto depending on what you got. Fairly intense course but worth it IMO.
Chris generally spends a fair amount of time on mindset, applicable law and clearing malfunctions as well. In the shotgun class he teaches you how to hold the gun in a tactical position (ie., stock is placed more centerline of chest than shoulder and you hold it as if you were holding a bow (push/pull). You learn a few ways to load/reload the gun. Shoot strong hand and off hand positions. All while being stressed, LOL.
Definitely a great class. If he comes back to New Paltz I'll try to take it with you schedule permitting. I definitely want to take it again.

Ok, I could see myself giving MDTS a lot of money, lol! Lots of practical self defense classes with or without firearms! The shotgun class looks freakin sweet! No lie on the amount of ammo CG!! 250 bird shot, 25 buck and 15 slugs...wow!
There's a company around here called MB Firearms Training that seems to offer classes fairly regularly but looks like they fill quick.I could be wrong...it's happened before and it'll happen again.

Hey Jumb,
1st off this here permit is a right..not a drivers license, the required paperwork,NRA live fire and money order is all needed. I've had my permit transferred through Dutchess when I lived there and found them pretty pleasant and not to ball busty..BUT..If you really feel you need, why not send in proof of your career and how you mentioned you shiot and edit video perfectly (besides hailing from the Wild Wild West of Texas might help lol)...

I also think its good for those who happen to make it to the range every week. Just saying...
