Range Officer Certification

Retirement is coming soon for me and I am trying to find someone who can certify me as an RSO both pistol and rifle. Unfortunately I am looking for 1 to 1 training because of my work schedule. Does anyone have any hooks?

Where are you located? I have a guy in Westchester that I would recommend.

Near Peekskill in westchester. The problem is that I would need a 1 to 1. Most instructors don't do that.

Sorry. When I say 1 to 1 training I mean me and the instructor. My work schedule is pretty much the worst of the worst.

One on one is going to be tough without it being expensive. Why not wait till you retire and have more free time?

Doesn't the NRA website have a list of instructors? I'd start emailing a bunch and see who replies.

B, Just out of curiosity, wouldn't your department endorse RSO cert. through the job? Don't they offer some type of training for those interested?

No Russ. They do nothing to help us.

Got it from the NRA website. September 12th in Peekskill is the basic RSO. I enrolled in that one. If I can get the time off on Halloween I may enroll in the Chief RSO class.
