      Makes sense to me, not sure why anyone would train to bring pistol back after a shot.

        Good points.
        There are many things that are adopted by "form" that do not make a lot of sense.
        I think the idea that one is going to be more effective when perfectly squared with the target is another myth.
        Everyone is going to find a natural position they are the most accurate and faster with and one should not try to correct that.
        A lot might depend on size and body complexity like rifle shooters, same thing.
        There might be a general form but there is no one recipe fits all.
        Even the most popular martial arts need to come out of their predefined forms to be more effective.
        A good instructor is going to see your potential in raw and exploit that potential while perhaps correcting the things and only
        the things that need correcting.
        The rest is taken care of by constant practice and repetition.

        It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

          The gentleman in the video is also Pat MacNamara. 100% legit instructor one of the best in the business. Look him up. He is on the short list of people I want to train with in the next 12 months.
