      I'm so with you on this. Why would they even write any sort of exemption? Could it have to do with Law Enforcement? They write special exemptions for LEO all the time anyway so can't figure it out.

        Well, Saiga is on the explicit list but VEPR isn't.......and standard mag is 5 rounds. Hmmm.

            My thought is the exemption stems from the politicians not wanting to piss off all of the turkey hunters. Same thing for not including pistol grip on list of evil features. If I had to guess, I'd say it was added as an accommodation to get some RINO on board to pass the legislation.

              Of course not. It is posted on the NY.gov safe act website though. Maybe we should call the NYSP hotline for clarification? LOL.

                      It answered a good question for me so thanks guys!

                      Let me rephrase my question a little as well now.

                      Best semi auto shotgun under $1000 but could go a little higher if something great is just put of that range by a couple hundred

                        If you want a tactical one I would go with a Remington 1100 then build it to what you tactically. The up side of this if you do get the money later for your Benelli then you can put the Rem back to stock configuration and have a field gun.
