Those petals fragment upon impact and then they take several directions.
Nothing really new. The Exolit, duppo 28(steel) and others have been sold for quite some time.
IMO in a more than one projectile use it makes more sense a 2 or 3 stacked slug where they hit close but then they take different paths and they
have a lot more mass to assure each individual channel a lethal one. This is the case with the european 2 piece controlled fraction ammo that splits
in two uppon entry, tumbles but in my opinion having two projectiles (or 3) makes more sense in the shotgun as it increases the impact radious and each piece
has the potential to kill very fast on it's own.
This guy tests one double disk load but in the end he contradicts himself because 2 slugs in a HD close quarters situation is much better than one
and the fact that they are disks even better because they help with splitting paths uppon impact.
Again these are old designs and concepts being marketed as novelty ammo but nothing really new...
These would be easy to reproduce using two regular 3/4oz slugs and a cut wad. With tall brass or 3" brass hull one might be able to stuck 3 or 2 + one layer of buck shot.
In terms of accuracy from a smooth bore the French Sauvestre is probably the most accurate slug in the market and very consistent.
It is a prime choice for mule deer and large boar as it creates massive trauma. What is really nice is that one can make a 3 inch group easily even with a smooth bore shotgun
something very hard for most slug ammo...
The for Grizlies, Cape Buffalo, Elephants, or even killing a truck engine one has the Berneke black magic!
...just make sure your tooth are not loose as they might fall..
Also do not use in home defense because not only will go through walls but the entire neighborhood!
