No just any of the same used for clays like Remington Gun clubs, or Winchester super target or Federal Target... Those are the cheaper ones and super popular and not too hot to be uncomfortable unless you buy some imports like kent. those are super hot. The target loads are virtually the same for all purposes. for the birds you need a nice thrower but folks have done this with the hand one and it works.
Personally I would go to a local gun club. cannot beat the speed of a professional machine.

That yellow one isn't too bad. Word of advice: bring an extra length of rope with you. My cousin and I wore out the rope on that yellow one within an hour.Old enough to know better, still too young to careComment

The yellow I had once and it needs a strong base. or bolt a longer bar across and add some sandbags. It doesn't stay put otherwise.
