Up to you but your welcome to try it out. I'd think with some light target loads you would be fine but only you can make that call.

Like I was saying before with a Benelli M4 I could dual wield with 12 gauge slugs and shoot all day, only my arms from holding it up would get tired. That is my dream shotgun and its very reliable. In the future after I get my house and in a position to afford one I will be buying one! But until them I am looking for something definitely on the cheaper end.

Am I short stroking or going to fast?

Most Semi-Automatic Shotguns that greatly reduce recoil are pretty darn expensive IMHO. I think it would be cheaper purchasing low recoil rounds vs. such an expensive gun. However if you're going to be shooting a LOT of rounds, the higher quality firearm is worth saving up for.

Benelli also provides a NYS compliant platform that supports 9 rounds due to its ability to ghost load a round on the floor plate. I believe the Mossy 590 can do that as well.

You are correct, you can ghost load the 590.

I have a mossy 500, i love it. Agree that less recoil in the gun might be a semi-auto option. I've seen a bennelli not cycle with low brass bird shot, so that's a consideration. Have you thought about a recoil reducing stock?
