ARE YOU COMBAT READY?
Grease up your Garands and get ready to find out!
Our October CMP match will be based on the War Time Marine Corps MCO 189 Course A, M1 Qualification. To be historically correct the match is shot with the M1 Garand however, we will have the match open to any semi-auto military rifle and we will classify results accordingly.
We will shoot the match at 200 yards as follows;
Standing 4 shots slow fire, single round load
Sitting 4 shots slow fire, single round load
Kneeling 4 shots slow fire, single round load
Prone 8 shots slow fire, single round load
Sitting 16 shots rapid fire, 60 second time limit
Kneeling 16 shots rapid fire, 60 second time limit
Prone 16 shots rapid fir, 65 second time limit
We are modifying the original course of fire to include 5 sighters, any position and will have other minor modifications that will be addressed before each relay.
For targets we will be using the SR2 in place of the traditional 5V. Hits recorded in the target black are valued at 5 points and hits recorded in the target white (8, 7 ring) will have a 4 point value. Your goal is a perfect score of 360 points. If you miss the target on any shot you get a great big “ZERO†and there will be no alibi shots!!! If you save a round (or 2, or more) it’s on YOU!
