Don't worry if you've never shot one, just drop Charlie a line and he'll get you going from there. This is a great way to get your feet wet with high power rifle match and everyone involved will go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. (Just ask USMCvet)

If you want to be 'official' the match calls for an 'as-issued' military rifle. In loose definitions, ANYTHING issued to ANY soldier EVER in this globe (WWI, WWII, Korea, Biafran Civil War....). It is also a classed as a Modern Military...so even ARs and AKs and...oh wait.....yea.....NY..oh well.

But if you show up with any safe, iron-sighted rifle & 50 rounds of ammo, you are more than welcome to enjoy the day and shoot! (and probably get the certificate anyways).

BTW sorry I had to leave early today....the babysitter was only good for 1300, and I got home at 1255. WOOT!

At least my 03A3 sighters were in the black.

I cannot believe that I did as well as I did, garand-wise.....273-4X (I think-damned standing!). I might be in line for my 2nd bronze medal from Perry!

Oh, and as far as the matches go, we run two classes...COMPETITION, for those all decked out with jackets and gloves etc...., and TACTICAL (b/c everyone loves that word) for those stepping up to the line 'as you are.'

Ancient artifact busted a stupid $20 part, new one is on the way.
