Getting close to show time! Registration for the National Matches is now up and running. If you are planning to attend get your registration done and start arranging your rooms.

The GCL will be hosting a Camp Perry for Newbies later this month. This is a round table forum for new shooters on what to bring, what to do and how to eliminate the stress associated with first timers. Please contact me if you are interested in attending.

Last but not least, four of us from the ROchester area will be heading to Camp Butner NC at the beginning of May for the CMP Eastern Games. This is one of three big deals in the high power game and if anyone else is interested, they still have a few slots open. Let me know if you have any questions.

actually I find the old timers to be quite the hoot....If you've ever met Lou...old Vietnam vet who left a little piece over there...guy cracks me up each year we find him.

I will be at camp perry this year. Just going as a spectator though, I have a road trip with my daughter so we are going to swing by and check it out.

I generally find everyone at Perry to be pleasant. Last year was the exception when I got squadded next to an older guy who was shooting poorly and decided it was my fault. I was so taken aback by him that I played it all wrong. He yelled at me after we shot standing in the P100. I should have made a big deal about getting my scorer to repeat my prone scores at 600.

There are a few regulars I tend to see each year. Lou is the best, though...to hear him cursing at the target, screaming obscenities...I think he sees each target through jungle leaves.
